Health & Safety Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Health & Safety Supervisor is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. The role focuses on minimizing workplace risks, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards, and promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices on-site.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, company policies, and international standards.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions to employees and contractors.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper implementation.
• Coordinate with management, engineers, and supervisors to resolve safety-related issues.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation.
• Promote continuous improvement in health and safety performance and awareness.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional HSE certifications (such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA) are preferred.
• Proven experience as a Health & Safety Supervisor or in a similar HSE role.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessments, and accident prevention.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
