Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy machinery used in construction, mining, agriculture, or industrial operations. This includes equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, cranes, graders, and other diesel-powered machines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication.
• Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and manufacturer manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Operate equipment to verify repairs and ensure optimal performance.
• Work independently or as part of a team in shop and field environments.
• Keep tools, shop, and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow company safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
