Heavy Truck Mechanic

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy trucks and trailers
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake service, and tire replacements
• Troubleshoot and repair engine and transmission issues
• Maintain detailed service records and complete work orders accurately
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and DOT compliance standards
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment efficiently
• Communicate with supervisors and drivers about vehicle issues and repair status
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all workplace safety standards and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training a plus)
• 3+ years of experience as a heavy truck mechanic (or similar role)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, and heavy truck components
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Own tools preferred
• Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions (indoor/outdoor, standing, kneeling)
