Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

The Heavy Vehicle Senior Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles (such as trucks, buses, trailers, and construction equipment). The role requires advanced technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and leadership skills to guide junior mechanics and ensure timely, high-quality repairs that meet safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy vehicles (engine, transmission, hydraulic systems, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems).
• Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure vehicles are serviced as per manufacturer and company standards.
• Supervise and guide junior mechanics and technicians in daily workshop activities.
• Ensure proper use of diagnostic tools, equipment, and repair techniques.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Inspect and test repaired vehicles for proper functioning and roadworthiness.
• Coordinate with the Workshop Supervisor on parts requirements and timely job completion.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workshop policies.
• Provide technical advice and training to junior staff when required.
• Support in identifying recurring vehicle issues and suggest improvements for efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / Technical Certification in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair (preferably in the GCC/UAE).
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brake systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment diagnostic tools and software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior mechanics.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
