Position Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HedgeOperations Specialist to join our aluminium trading operations team. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with strong numerical and organizational skills who are looking to develop a career in commodity markets, particularly in the operational and risk-control aspects of trading. You will support the hedging lifecycle and ensure that derivative positions align accurately with physical trades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in capturing and verifying hedge trades (e.g., LME futures, options) in internal trading systems.

• Reconcile physical aluminum positions with related financial hedges on a daily basis.

• Support the preparation of daily exposure, P&L, and position reports for traders and management.

• Coordinate with trading, risk, and finance teams to ensure proper trade matching, booking, and settlement.

• Monitor the status of open hedges and flag discrepancies or mismatches for resolution.

• Help maintain hedge documentation and audit trails for compliance and regulatory purposes.

• Contribute to improvements in operational processes and data integrity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Strong attention to detail and high numerical accuracy.

• Interest in commodities, derivatives, and financial markets (especially metals trading).

• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with trading or risk systems is a plus.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced trading environment.

Preferred (But Not Required):

• Internship or academic project experience related to finance, operations, or trading.

• Exposure to futures and options markets (especially LME).

• Basic understanding of trade life cycle and middle-office functions.
