High School Liaison - Carlinville

Scope of Position

The High School Liaison plays a central role in strengthening partnership between Lewis and Clark Community College and regional high schools. This position is dedicated to cultivating meaningful connections and providing seamless communication for our dual credit students and prospective LC students. By serving as a strategic connector, the Liaison ensures that high school students families, and staff at regional high schools are informed, engaged, and supported in navigating opportunities at Lewis and Clark.

Key responsibilities include academic advising, recruitment, and retention efforts that promote a smooth transition to Lewis and Clark, while aligning pathways with students’ aspirations and workforce needs. Through collaboration, advocacy, and intentional outreach, the Liaison helps bridge the educational journey from high school to LC—creating a more accessible, informed, and overall remarkable LC student experience.

Key Measurable Expectations (KMEs)

  • Provide post-secondary education resources to district high school partners.
  • Collaborate with high school personnel to create opportunities for students and families to learn about postsecondary education.
  • Facilitate student enrollment in dual credit and concurrent enrollment programs.
  • Provide all pre-enrollment services for early college students (advising and enrollment).
  • Provide on-site support at assigned high schools on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Coordinate high school recruitment efforts with the Lewis and Clark recruiter.
  • Establish and maintain spreadsheets of early college student contacts for recruitment purposes.
  • Work with the Director of High School Partnership and assigned high school personnel in the development and implementation of new courses and programs within the high school partnership program.
  • Provide enrollment services at the College, such as academic advising, registration and assessment testing to students in assigned caseload.
  • Maintain retention efforts of students in assigned caseload.
  • Attend and participate in appropriate on-campus meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Work closely with on campus departments to coordinate efforts related to student success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Minimum of three years’ professional experience in marketing, sales, recruiting, student advising, or related fields within the public or private sector.
  • Demonstrated competency in student advocacy, strategic outreach, and relationship-building across diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to communicate with clarity, organization, and purpose—both in writing and in person.
  • A deep investment in the community college mission, with alignment and understanding of Lewis and Clark’s commitment to creating the most accessible, agile, and meaningful college experience for students.
  • Familiarity with the community college model and its role in advancing equity, opportunity, and workforce readiness is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel within college district.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.

Team Members can expect to be paid a salary between $52,885 to $71,395, which includes an excellent benefits package. The salary will be based on a combination of relevant education, training, work experience, and skill competencies.
