HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER

Duties & Responsibilities:

§ Plans and delivers engaging lessons aligned with the NYS Next Generation Standards in Mathematics.

§ Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects.

§ Uses a variety of instructional techniques consistent with NYS Next Generation Standards in Mathematics.

§ Creates a positive classroom environment that fosters student achievement.

§ Differentiates instruction and assessments to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.

§ Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and district policy.

§ Effectively communicates with parents and completes assessments and reporting as appropriate.

Preferred Experience:

§ Experience preparing students for the New York State Regents Exams in Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry.

§ Experience working in a Special Education, co-teach classroom
