A respected hospitality ownership and management company is conducting a confidential search for an experienced General Manager to lead a full-service Hilton-branded hotel in the Austin market.
This opportunity is ideal for a proven hospitality leader who excels at driving operational excellence, guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and financial performance while leading a large, complex hotel operation.
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in full-service hotel leadership, a passion for team development, and a demonstrated ability to deliver results across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for all hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales, and Finance
- Drive guest satisfaction, quality assurance, and brand compliance initiatives
- Lead and develop department heads and hotel leadership teams
- Achieve revenue, profitability, labor, and expense management goals
- Partner with Sales and Revenue Management teams to maximize market share and hotel performance
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and service excellence
- Ensure the property consistently delivers exceptional guest experiences
- Maintain strong relationships with ownership, brand representatives, and community partners
- Oversee capital improvement projects and asset preservation initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of General Manager experience in a full-service or large focused service (150+ rooms) hotel environment
- Previous experience with a nationally recognized hotel brand preferred
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and P&L accountability
- Demonstrated success leading large teams and developing future hospitality leaders
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership
Preferred Experience
- Embassy Suites, Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, or similar upscale full-service brand experience
- Experience managing hotels with meeting space, food and beverage operations, and multiple revenue streams
- Proven track record of improving guest satisfaction scores and financial performance
