Host
Seacliff Inn, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is looking for a Host/Hostess to join our team! We are looking for an energetic and cheerful Host/Hostess to greet and acknowledge all arriving guests and escort guests to their tables. The Host/Hostess will also be responsible for taking reservations and maintaining reservation book.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
- Cheerfully and courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating at tables; present menus and extend congenialities ensuring restaurant’s standards of service.
- Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room at all times.
- Assist in monitoring the guests’ needs and all phases of the restaurant operations.
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant during absence of Restaurant Manager and/or Supervisor.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, specials, liquor/beer/non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant.
- Maintain good guest relations by keeping abreast of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses.
- Inspect tables and stations ensuring that all set ups meet the department standards. Check throughout meal period. Relay deficiencies to respective team members and follow up on corrections.
- Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in department standards.
- Extend courteous departures as guests leave the restaurant.
- Ensure tables are cleaned and reset according to standards.
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Pay: $16.90 per hour
