Position Summary
- Supports the Supervisor/ Assistant / Restaurant Manager to plan, organise and supervise the flow of restaurant seating arrangements during service to ensure the outlet provides service excellence that is consistent with the restaurant SOPs.
- To achieve and maintain service excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Works closely with FOH and BOH team.
- Is able to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members at all times.
- Treats all team members with respect and integrity.
- Achieves maximum revenue through effective planning, communication & seat management.
- Acts as the SPU representative and communicates effectively with guests and inquiries.
Operational Responsibilities
- To follow the instructions and direction of management and supervisors.
- Is trained to deliver an excellent standard of customer service and maintains that standard.
- Has full working knowledge of all menu items, and can describe them and clearly and suggestively, including possible variations, allergens or options.
- Can perform independently in their designated area of work.
- Engages warmly and professionally with guests and team members at all times
- Is able to handle complaints and feedback from customers in a calm and professional manner, and communicate any issues to RM or ARM.
- Schedules reservations and/or maintains waitlists.
- Keeping and maintaining communication with guests regarding reservations or waitlists.
- Communicates any known issues to managers immediately.
- Ensures that all side duties and cleaning schedules are completed as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant and its environment.
- Completes own probationary and appraisal paper work as required
- Understands and can explain the Brand.
- Maintains accurate records of reservations and guest seating.
- Maintains and updates a guest database.
- Ensures that all colleagues adhere and work to correct health and hygiene standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in hospitality
- Desirable: Diploma in Food & Beverage
- Can hold a conversation in English with confidence.
- Listens to understand and acts accordingly
- Is organized in their duties
- Have good time management skills. Reports for duty, meetings and training on time.
