Hostel Warden (Male)

Job Summary

The Male Hostel Warden will be responsible for the overall supervision, management, discipline, safety, and well-being of students residing in the hostel. This is a 24-hour residential position. The Warden will ensure a safe, disciplined, and comfortable living environment for all hostel residents.

The organization will provide accommodation and all necessary facilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Supervision & Discipline

• Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with hostel rules and regulations.
• Monitor students’ behavior and address misconduct appropriately.
• Maintain attendance records of hostel residents.
• Conduct regular room inspections.

2. Safety & Security

• Ensure the safety and security of all hostel residents.
• Monitor entry and exit of students and visitors.
• Coordinate with security staff when required.
• Handle emergency situations (medical, safety, disciplinary).

3. Daily Operations Management

• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of hostel premises.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff.
• Ensure proper functioning of utilities (electricity, water, etc.).
• Supervise mess/cafeteria arrangements (if applicable).

4. Student Welfare

• Address students’ concerns and grievances.
• Provide guidance and support when needed.
• Maintain a positive and supportive hostel environment.
• Inform parents and management about serious issues when required.

5. Administrative Duties

• Maintain proper hostel records (admission, leave, complaints, etc.).
• Prepare reports for management.
• Assist management in implementing hostel policies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in hostel management or student supervision (1–3 years preferred).
• Strong leadership and disciplinary skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, mature, and physically fit.
• Basic knowledge of safety and emergency handling.
