Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of service in our restaurant. A passion for guest relations and exceptional customer service is essential.

Duties

• Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
• Manage the seating chart and ensure guests are seated promptly.
• Handle reservations and walk-in guests efficiently, maintaining an organized waitlist when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to coordinate guest needs.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance their dining experience.
• Utilize POS system for managing reservations and guest interactions as needed.

Skills

• Strong guest relations skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Familiarity with restaurant operations, including knowledge of POS systems a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
