Host/Server

Café Alma, a vibrant café in East Providence, Rhode Island, is seeking a friendly, efficient, and customer-focused Host and Server to join our team. We pride ourselves on serving excellent crafted coctails, warm hospitality, and thoughtfully prepared menu items. Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive and manage the waitlist and seating flow
• Answer phones and assist with reservations or guest inquiries
• Provide attentive and knowledgeable table service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver items promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
• Process guest payments and handle POS transactions
• Assist with opening and closing duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy service periods
• Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time
