Hot & Cold Commis

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and disciplined Hot & Cold Commis to join our Central Kitchen team. The candidate will be responsible for mise en place, cooking, assembling, and portioning meals for both subscription meal plans and online aggregator platforms (Talabat, Keeta, etc.).

The ideal candidate must be organized, fast, and comfortable working in a high-volume production kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily mise en place including cutting, marinating, weighing, and preparing ingredients before service.
  • Prepare and cook hot food items according to standardized recipes.
  • Prepare cold items such as salads, sandwiches, sauces, and dressings.
  • Accurately portion meals using digital weighing scales.
  • Follow portion guidelines for 1P, 2P, and 3P meal sizes.
  • Assemble meals for subscription clients according to calorie plans.
  • Prepare and pack orders for aggregator platforms within required timelines.
  • Ensure correct labeling and packaging of all meals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Follow FIFO and proper food storage procedures.
  • Minimize food wastage and report shortages.
  • Support the kitchen team during peak production hours.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a central kitchen or high-volume restaurant preferred.
  • Experience in meal prep or diet kitchen is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of mise en place and kitchen organization.
  • Basic knowledge of portion control and food safety.
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
  • Team player with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to follow SOPs strictly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR2,750.00 per month
