Job description

Responsible for cleaning and replenishing guest rooms according to hotel standards. Providing our guests an excellent stay with a comfortable and clean room. Ensuring everything in rooms is working correctly and reporting those that are not and other maintenance issues to supervisor immediately. Previous housekeeping is a plus but will train the right person(s).

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure top cleanliness standards
• Maintain cleanliness of public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining areas by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors regularly
• Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels according to hotel protocols
• Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and amenities to ensure guest needs are met promptly
• Follow safety procedures during cleaning activities, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment for floor care and industrial cleaning tasks
• Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold hotel standards
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while delivering exceptional custodial service in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and industrial cleaning equipment
• Experience with hospitality environments or custodial management is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in a busy setting
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move around for extended periods during shifts
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use

Pay: $15.95 - $16.50 per hour
