Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests and staff alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards of facility operation. Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, elevators, and other critical hotel infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hydraulics, electrical systems (including high voltage), mechanical equipment, and building automation controls.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics to diagnose faults accurately.
• Operate industrial tools including welding equipment (including <LOCATION> welding), scissor lifts, and other field service machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, asset history, and inventory levels.
• Perform repairs on industrial machinery within manufacturing facilities or hotel operations that require specialized knowledge of industrial mechanics and electrical systems.
• Collaborate with technical sales teams or vendors when sourcing parts or implementing new systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to low voltage, high voltage electrical work, HVAC/R systems, and other technical areas.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and guest disruption.
• Follow schematics and technical manuals meticulously during repairs or installations to uphold quality standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility or similar environment with a focus on mechanical, electrical, or HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and industrial electrician practices.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems including troubleshooting and repairs involving high voltage components.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance planning and documentation.
• Skilled in welding techniques specific to <LOCATION> welding standards as well as general mechanical repairs using precision measuring instruments.
• Demonstrated ability to operate scissor lifts safely in accordance with safety regulations.
• Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex system issues quickly and accurately.
• Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English.
• Experience working in field service roles within manufacturing or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
• Military background or experience in industrial mechanics is considered an asset due to disciplined approach and technical training. Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
