Overview
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Engineer, where you will be the vital force behind maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and other building systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Drywall repair preferred.
- Plumbing trouble-shooting
- Prevenative Maintenence on Guest rooms and public spaces
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems using schematics, electrical experience, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate and control building functions efficiently.
- Conduct welding and residential painting tasks to maintain the property's aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including supervising team members or contractors when necessary.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by adhering to electrical codes, welding safety protocols, and general facilities maintenance procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Lead or support emergency repairs and coordinate with external vendors or specialists as needed for specialized tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential setting is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in electrical work, welding, plumbing, and general repair techniques.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, PLCs, and CMMS software is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead maintenance teams or projects effectively.
- Experience working with tools such as ohmmeters, power tools, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination with team members and vendors.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environments can be advantageous but is not mandatory.
