Hotel Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, with expertise in electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience with programmable logic controllers. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all maintenance functions, including preventative maintenance are completed in a timely manner and are safety compliant. Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms. Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations. Paints, replaces electrical accessories, maintains HVAC. Responds to guest complaints in a timely manner. Fulfills work orders in a timely manner. Completes daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members. Excellent time management skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong electrical experience with the ability to work with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the capability to troubleshoot various systems.
  • Experience in welding techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on teamwork and communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
