Job Summary:
The House Maintenance Engineer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the residence. The role focuses on coordinating maintenance activities, managing contractors and service providers, and ensuring all systems and facilities within the property are properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Oversight
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the residence and its facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance issues and ensure high standards are maintained.
- Ensure all building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general infrastructure) are functioning properly.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Source, contact, and coordinate with external contractors and service providers for repairs, servicing, and maintenance work.
- Obtain quotations, schedule work, and ensure contractors complete tasks within agreed timelines.
- Supervise contractors on-site and ensure work is completed to the required standards.
Work Coordination
- Plan and organize routine maintenance, servicing, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Maintain records of maintenance work, vendor details, warranties, and service agreements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Cost & Budget Control
- Review quotes from contractors and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and ensure services remain within budget where possible.
Issue Resolution
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues or emergencies within the residence.
- Coordinate urgent repairs and ensure minimal disruption to the household.
Vendor Relationships
- Build and maintain relationships with reliable contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Ensure vendors adhere to service quality, safety, and professional standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in property, villa, or facilities maintenance.
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
- Good understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general property maintenance.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with private residences, luxury villas, or estates.
- Familiarity with maintenance management and contractor supervision.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
