This position spends some hours cleaning rooms and some hours inspecting. For hours spent inspecting, the employee receives an extra 50 cents per hour.
General Summary
Housekeeping is what gives hotels the "wow" factor. It's the moment that guests walk into the hotel and are impressed, then enter their bedrooms and think "wow, this looks wonderful.” The Housekeeping Inspector’s primary responsibility is to deliver a great guest experience, by ensuring hotel (public space and guest rooms) are spotless and prepared for guests.
The Housekeeping Inspector functions as a Room Attendant and fills in during the absence of a Housekeeping Supervisor. On the days the employee is completing the Inspector responsibilities s/he typically receives an hourly premium.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or General Education Certificate is required. Additional studies in hospitality are encouraged.
