Housekeeper/Laundry Worker

Position Title: Laundry Attendant / Housekeeper
Location: Hampton Inn -350 Morris Ave, Denville, NJ 07834
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Job Summary

The Laundry Attendant / Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel linens. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all guests while following Hampton Inn and Hilton brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Duties

  • Clean and service guest rooms according to Hilton brand standards.
  • Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish guest room amenities.
  • Clean bathrooms, vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and sanitize high-touch surfaces.
  • Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and lost-and-found items to management.
  • Ensure guest rooms are properly stocked and ready for arriving guests.
  • Clean hallways, stairwells, elevators, and other public areas as assigned.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and special cleaning needs.

Laundry Duties

  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute hotel linens, towels, and uniforms.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect linens for stains, damage, and wear; separate and report unusable items.
  • Maintain laundry room cleanliness and organization.
  • Monitor inventory levels of linens and laundry supplies.
  • Follow proper handling procedures for chemicals and cleaning products.
  • Ensure all laundry is processed and delivered to departments in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, or hotel experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate housekeeping and laundry equipment safely.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
