Housekeeping Aide - Orchard View

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at Orchard View in Kingsport, TN. The ideal candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff by performing various cleaning and housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other facility spaces.
• Change bed linens and assist with laundry duties as needed.
• Dispose of trash and maintain proper waste management procedures.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
• Assist with setting up rooms for new residents or special events.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and bending.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Basic communication skills in English.

Work Environment

This position involves working in a residential care facility environment. The role requires standing, walking, and physical activity throughout the shift. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be used as required.
