Housekeeping Attendant

urpose

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms/public areas to brand standards; ensure readiness by check‑in.

Core responsibilities

  • Guest rooms: follow sequence of service (safety knock/announce, strip linens, trash/recycle, dust high‑to‑low, bathroom sanitize/disinfect, bed make to spec, vacuum/mop, replenish amenities/linen, final QC).
  • Public areas (if assigned): lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms; frequent touch‑point sanitizing.
  • Turndown/PM (if assigned): light refresh, linen/amenity reset, privacy and turn‑down setup.
  • Linen and stock: pull/place linen, maintain par levels, stock/clean closets; count rejects.
  • Equipment: daily checks (vacuums, carts, extractors), safe use, report defects via CMMS/work orders.
  • Maintenance reporting: note damages, OOO items, and quick fixes; escalate promptly.
  • Guest interaction: greet, handle requests, respect DND/privacy; service recovery handoff.
  • Compliance: chemical dilution/PPE, MSDS/HACCP, sharps/biohazard handling, slip/fall prevention.
  • Security: key control, room access protocols, Lost & Found logging and chain of custody.
  • Admin: update room status in PMS/housekeeping app, complete boards/checklists and shift handover.
  • Projects: deep cleans, high‑dusting, carpet/upholstery spots, mattress rotation, spring‑clean tasks.

Requirements

  • 0–1+ years housekeeping (hotel preferred); follow SOPs; basic PMS/housekeeping app use; lift 30–40 lbs, stand/walk 8 hrs, bend/reach; weekends/holidays; basic English (or local language); food handler/OSHA or local equivalents as required.
