Housekeeping Inspector

Job Summary

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Identify areas needing cleaning or maintenance attention and communicate effectively with housekeeping staff to address deficiencies promptly.
• Verify that all cleaning tasks—such as dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation—are completed to company standards.
• Monitor adherence to safety protocols during cleaning activities, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of deficiencies and corrective actions taken.
• Collaborate with housekeeping management to develop training materials focused on quality standards and safety procedures.
• Support ongoing training initiatives to elevate team performance in janitorial tasks, industrial cleaning, and custodial responsibilities.

Experience

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and safety practices.
• Hands-on experience with floor care methods including carpet cleaning, polishing, stripping, waxing, and tile maintenance.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards for cleanliness and guest service expectations.
• Previous supervisory or management experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and supplies used in large-scale or commercial environments.
• Strong attention to detail combined with excellent communication skills to provide clear feedback and training.
