Manage the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure quality standards are met while delivering a guest experience that is unique and brings the brand to life.

Duties and Responsibilities

FINANCIAL RETURNS:

· Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans. Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on increasing productivity.

· Maintain proper inventory levels managing cost per room for supplies and labor.

· Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.

· Educate and train team members in compliance with governmental and safety regulations. Ensure colleague is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.

· May assist with deep cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping colleagues during high volume periods.

GUEST EXPERIENCE:

· Manage the quality of housekeeping and laundry services. Schedule routine inspections of all guest rooms and public areas ensure furnishings, rooms, equipment, lines, public restrooms, lobby, etc. are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction.

· Carry out special needs and requests of guests, VIPs, repeat visitors and club members.

· Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:

· Maintain and order supplies and equipment in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining “green” initiatives.

· Maybe responsible for the security of lost and found items throughout the hotel.

Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager on duty.

SELF MANAGEMENT

1. Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook

2. Comply with Company Grooming Standards at all times to portray a professional image of self and the hotel.

3. Comply with Time and Attendance Policies set by the hotel.

4. Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development

5. Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety

6. Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures

7. Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager

8. Comply with the Company’s Code of Conduct

9. Familiarize self with the company values.

10. Perform all tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR13,000.00 - QAR15,000.00 per month
