We are looking for a part time, non-benefited HR Assistant (20 hours) to join our team, focusing primarily on drive time reporting and timekeeping support in Rancho Cordova, CA. This role ensures accurate tracking of employee drive time, clock-in/clock-out records, and meal break compliance while assisting HR with basic administrative tasks.
Pay Range: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review daily drive time submissions and clock-in/clock-out records for accuracy; flag and report discrepancies or unusual patterns.
Utilize spreadsheets to monitor, track, and analyze drive time data for all technicians.
Ensure timekeeping practices comply with labor laws and company policies, including meal break compliance.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee timekeeping records.
Generate and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly drive time and attendance reports.
Respond to employee and supervisor questions on timekeeping procedures and provide guidance on policies.
Assist with audits, policy reviews, and other HR administrative tasks as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the needs of the Company.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel knowledge is required.
- Experience with timekeeping systems and/or employee attendance tracking strongly desired.
- Prior exposure to labor law compliance (meal/rest breaks, overtime rules) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with employees, managers, and peers.
