HR Compliance

Overview:

The HR Compliance Officer ensures that the organization complies with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role is responsible for monitoring compliance risks, developing policies, conducting audits, training employees, and supporting leadership in maintaining a culture of ethical and compliant practices across the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Policy Management

  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies in line with local labor laws, industry standards, and organizational values.
  • Ensure consistent application of policies across all departments.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of employee handbooks, contracts, and HR documentation to ensure compliance.

Audits & Risk Management

  • Lead internal HR audits to identify gaps in compliance.
  • Prepare and support external labor inspections, audits, or statutory reviews.
  • Monitor risk areas such as payroll accuracy, working hours, employee benefits, and workplace safety.

Training & Awareness

  • Design and deliver compliance-related training sessions for employees and managers.
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of workplace rights, obligations, and reporting channels.
  • Build awareness of ethical conduct, anti-harassment, diversity, and inclusion policies.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records for compliance, including employee files, contracts, training logs, and audit reports.
  • Prepare compliance reports for management and regulators as required.
  • Act as the first point of contact for compliance queries, grievances, or escalations.

Employee Relations & Support

  • Handle employee grievances in line with company policy and legal guidelines.
  • Support investigations into policy breaches or misconduct.
  • Partner with HR and Legal teams to resolve compliance-related issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in HR compliance, HR operations, or employee relations (3–5 years minimum).
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and training facilitation skills.
  • High ethical standards, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
