The Humanity Institute is seeking an authoritative and strategic HR Compliance Director to lead our regulatory governance and ethical standards from our Salalah East headquarters. In an era of evolving labor regulations and social accountability, you will be the final authority on all people-related legal matters. We are looking for a visionary leader who can integrate the Sultanate’s legal requirements with global best practices, ensuring the Institute remains a beacon of integrity and operational excellence in the Dhofar region.
Executive Responsibilities
- Strategic Regulatory Governance: Architect and oversee the Institute’s total compliance framework, ensuring all operations align with the Omani Labour Law, Civil Service regulations (where applicable), and international NGO/Education standards.
- Ethics & Policy Leadership: Develop and enforce high-level corporate policies, including the Code of Conduct, Anti-Harassment, and Whistleblower protocols, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Omanisation & Nationalization Strategy: Lead the Institute’s strategic commitment to Omanisation, ensuring high-level compliance with Ministry of Labour targets and reporting directly to the Board on national talent development.
- Audit & Risk Mitigation: Establish a rigorous internal audit cycle for HR operations, identifying potential legal or reputational risks and implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
- High-Level Authority Liaison: Act as the primary executive representative in all dealings with the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Social Development, and other statutory bodies.
- Crisis Management & Mediation: Oversee the resolution of high-stakes employee relations cases and legal disputes, ensuring outcomes are fair, legally sound, and protective of the Institute’s reputation.
Professional Profile
- Minimum 15–18 years of experience in Human Resources or Legal Compliance, with at least 7 years in a Director or executive-level capacity.
- Mandatory Expertise: Deep, specialized knowledge of the Omani Labour Law and the Sultanate’s commercial and social regulatory environment.
- Proven experience in a large-scale institutional setting (Education, NGO, or Government-linked entities) is highly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at the Board and Ministry levels.
- Bilingual Command: Absolute professional fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory for interpreting Omani law and high-level government liaison.
- Master’s degree in Law, HR Management, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHRi) are expected.
