Phoenix Health Care Management Services is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department. This role is ideal for an HR professional early in their career who is looking to gain experience across multiple HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, payroll support, and HR administration.

In this position, you will work closely with the Human Resources Manager and play an important role in supporting employees while ensuring HR processes run efficiently and in compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication

  • Process new hire and termination paperwork and maintain accurate employee personnel records

  • Ensure I-9 completion and E-Verify processing

  • Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and other pre-employment screenings

  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding

  • Serve as a point of contact for routine employee HR questions

  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events

  • Provide payroll processing support and backup assistance for payroll administration

  • Maintain employee data in the HRIS system and assist with HR reporting

  • Support general office operations including maintaining office and breakroom supplies and coordinating food orders for meetings and events
  • Support general HR administrative functions and special HR projects


Experience and Skills:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 1+ year of Human Resources experience supporting HR operations, recruiting, onboarding, or administrative HR functions

  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
