Human Resources Coordinator

Fulltime, Monday - Friday

Job Summary

The Human Resource coordinator will support the daily functions of Colonial Electric Supply’s Human Resource (HR) department including payroll support, talent acquisition support and general HR functions while enforcing & supporting our company policies and practices. We are seeking an ADP expert for this role.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Cross functional ADP Human Resources Management is a requirement.

  • Payroll and Benefits support who serves as a back up to the HR Generalist.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory internal processes.
  • Assists talent acquisition with recruiting processes, prior experience is a plus. .
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate qualified staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Google Workspace or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.


Education/Experience:

  • 1-3 years HR experience, preferably in a multi-location, service based organization.

  • SHRM - Certified Professional a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment laws.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
