We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to support our HR operations with a strong focus on benefits billing reconciliation, DOT compliance, employee training coordination, and state-funded training program applications. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Position will report to the Plymouth Michigan office. Remote work is not permitted.
Key Responsibilities:

Full cycle recruiting for all hourly positions.

Assist employees with benefit questions.

Support the Payroll and Benefits specialist in the full life cycle benefit administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee support.

Reconcile weekly health benefits invoices and billing reports; identify discrepancies and ensure accurate payments.

Maintain DOT driver compliance records including physicals, licenses, and testing requirements.

Coordinate and assist with new hire orientation and onboarding.

Ensure all new hires complete required training based on their role.

Assist coordinating and tracking companywide training initiatives and compliance deadlines.

Research, apply for, and manage training reimbursement opportunities through state and multi-state programs.

Provide general HR support such as file maintenance, audits, and internal communications.

Perform all other duties as assigned to support HR and company operations.
Qualifications:

2+ years of HR experience; benefits or payroll background preferred

Familiarity with DOT regulations and training program funding (ex: Michigan’s Going PRO Talent Fund) a plus

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Proficient in Excel and HR systems such as ADP and Employee Navigator required.
