Job Description:
We are looking for a highly engaged and qualified Human Resources Generalist to join our US HR team located in Morgan Hill, California. The position will serve as a critical liaison between HR Operations and HR Business Partners, with a focus on operational and administrative support in line with business goals and strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

A primary point of contact for HR Business Partners on day-to-day employee and business needs.

Administer and support the recruitment process including job postings, coordination, and internship programs.

Administrative support through the employee life cycle such as onboarding, promotions, internal transfers, change in role, relocation, retirements, and more.

To oversee employee immigration and visa requirements, including managing documentation and compliance, addressing process‑related challenges, and liaising with external immigration counsel.

Responsibility includes processing and preparation of termination paperwork for voluntary and involuntary terminations including RIFs.

Administration and managing employee personnel files.
-
Maintain accurate HR records and support HR systems and HRIS administration.
-
Responsibility includes supporting with completion of i-9 verifications and smooth onboarding process of new hires.

Represent the company at Career Fairs in California.

Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and program rollouts as needed.

Partner with the HR team and support with implementation of new HRIS tool.

To support HRBPs with administration and preparation of contractor agreements and recruitment agency agreements.

Partner with cross‑functional teams and HR colleagues to support business initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Assist in the development, communication, and consistent application of HR policies and practices.

Provide guidance and support related to employee welfare, engagement, and compliance with employment laws.

Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Support local site events and employee engagement initiatives in partnership with HRBPs.
Job Requirements:
-
BA/BS in Human Resources Management or a related field.
-
Proven work experience as an HR Generalist with 4-7 years in the semiconductor or related industry.

The ideal candidate should have solid experience with end-to-end employee life-cycle administration, HR practices, handling employee queries, and HR documentation.

Working knowledge of federal employment laws, various state laws specifically California.

Knowledge in immigration/visa processing including visa transfers is a plus.

Prior experience with using Workday is required. Experience using ADP and Cornerstone is good to have.

Solid understanding of core HR principles and employment practices.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Ability to build and maintain positive, productive working relationships with all levels of employees.

Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and DocuSign.

Other assignments and responsibilities as directed.

Occasional travel as required.

The Salary Range for this position is $70,000 – 110,000. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
This position is eligible to receive restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely at MACOM’s discretion, subject to individual and company performance.
