Position Summary:

The HR Generalist will work primarily onsite in New York City and report directly to the HR Manager. This role supports the full spectrum of human resources functions and office administration for the New York site. The ideal candidate will play a key role in full-cycle recruitment, employee lifecycle management, benefits administration, training coordination, and daily administrative operations, ensuring compliance and smooth day-to-day office activities.

Occasional business travel may be required to support company operations or HR-related initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Human Resources Responsibilities
    • Support the HR Manager in HR SOP development, policy formulation, and implementation, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, onboarding, and hiring documentation.
    • Coordinate and support new hire orientation, onboarding programs, and ongoing employee training, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, personnel files, and HR systems.
    • Support salary administration, employee status changes, and HR reporting.
    • Manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, internal transfers, performance-related documentation, and termination/offboarding procedures.
    • Administer and support employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, renewals, and employee inquiries.
    • Serve as a key point of contact for employees, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of HR-related questions.
  • Administrative & Office Operations
    • Support daily office operations and general administrative activities for the New York site.
    • Coordinate vendor payments and manage relationships with office service providers.
    • Process employee expense reimbursements and support internal administrative workflows.
    • Manage office logistics, including mail/shipping, office supplies, and equipment.
    • Prepare and maintain HR and administrative reports using Excel, ensuring data accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Support ad hoc HR-related and administrative projects as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) required.
  • Experience: 1+ year of HR-related experience, preferably in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data tracking, formulas, reporting).
    • Familiarity with HRIS systems and HR documentation processes.
  • Working knowledge of full-cycle recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, and general HR operations.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and coordination skills; proactive, resilient, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with strong multitasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to support occasional business travel, as required.
  • Location: Onsite role based in New York City.
