Job Title: HR Intern
Duration 6 months and later based on performance convert to roles

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HR Intern to support the People Operations team in daily activities, projects, and initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a genuine interest in building a career in Human Resources, with the ability to multitask, learn quickly, and contribute to daily HR operations. This internship offers hands-on exposure to various HR functions including employee engagement, learning and development, performance management, policy administration, and HR compliance.

Key Responsibilities, Deliverables / Outcomes
1. HR Operations & Coordination

  • Support day-to-day HR operations and ensure adherence to established processes and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR documentation, and databases.
  • Assist in drafting HR letters, maintaining trackers, and preparing HR-related reports.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth HR process execution.

2. Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding process including documentation, induction, and system setup for new joiners.
  • Ensure a positive onboarding experience through structured communication and orientation.
  • Handle offboarding activities including exit formalities, feedback collection, and clearance documentation.
  • Ensure proper communication of joining and exit updates across teams.

3. Leave & Attendance Management

  • Administer and track employee attendance and leave records accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with company leave policies and address employee queries.
  • Generate and share periodic leave and attendance analytics for management review.

4. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

  • Plan, organize, and execute employee engagement initiatives such as celebrations, recognition events, and team-building activities.
  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance employee experience and strengthen organizational culture.
  • Gather feedback on engagement activities and recommend improvements for better participation.

5. Employee Grievance & Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, concerns, and grievances.
  • Handle issues with confidentiality, empathy, and fairness, escalating them appropriately when required.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving employee satisfaction and workplace harmony.

6. Policy Implementation & HR Compliance

  • Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to HR standards, code of conduct, and company compliance requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and assist during HR audits or reviews.

7. Cross-Functional HR Support

  • Collaborate with HR team members in areas like Learning & Development, PMS, R&R, and organizational initiatives.
  • Provide operational support in HR projects, data collection, and process improvement efforts.

Key Skills
1. 6 months of experience in HR operations or 6 months internship experience
2. Basic understanding of HR principles and employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, learning & development, and employee engagement.
3. Familiarity with HR documentation and compliance, including maintenance of employee records, policy implementation, and statutory documentation.
4. Good Excel and data management skills, including the ability to maintain HR records, track PMS data, and prepare simple HR reports.
5. Analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify discrepancies in records, maintain accuracy, and support process improvements.
