HR Manager

This role will partner effectively with our HR business partners, HR Leadership team, Site leaders, People managers, People Services Desk and various other functions within the TomTom People organization. You will work closely with the global Employee Relations team (based in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and USA) to support the TomTom growth strategy for the future. In this role you will work on a global scope. You will bring high-quality, consistent, fair, and pragmatic advice on employee relations and legal compliance in TomTom’s approach to employees, translating complex legal and regulatory scenarios into clear, practical and actionable guidance for stakeholders. This will be achieved through advising on internal HR policies and procedures, local labour laws, and employee life cycle issues from onboarding to offboarding whilst maintaining a constructive working relationship with the People Team headquarters based in Amsterdam.

What you'll do

  • Be a contact person for local Site Management, Works Councils, and Trade Unions (if applicable) on all aspects of the People agenda to ensure we nurture and develop the TomTom DNA throughout our work environment and people processes,
  • Support and shape TomTom’s performance management approach,
  • Serve as the primary Employee Relations contact for the region, supporting the workforce with work-related concerns in a timely, confidential and consistent manner,
  • Lead and coordinate restructurings or reorganizations, including stakeholder alignment and execution,
  • Support with individual cases such as poor performance, misconduct,conflict-resolution, illness and terminations, including complex or sensitive cases,
  • Partnership with local committees / legal compliance in internal investigations,
  • Mentor and guide our managers and employees on conflict handling, mediation and grievances, acting as a trusted advisor on risk and resolution.

What you'll need

  • You have extensive knowledge of employment law, in any case Indian, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a broader, international context; knowledge of additional countries within APAC is preferred,
  • You have at least 8+ years’ experience in a similar role, with demonstrated ownership of complex Employee Relations matters,
  • You have extremely strong influencing, interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex legal and regulatory scenarios into clear, practical and risk-aware guidance for a wide range of stakeholders,
  • You can objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues,
  • You thrive in a dynamic international environment. Knowledge and experience in Agile HR will be a plus,
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English, other languages are a plus,
  • You can operate, drive results and set priorities independently, while balancing local and global priorities,
  • In this role you will contribute to global and local projects, with the opportunity to lead initiatives within your scope.
