The HR Officer in a hotel is responsible for supporting all human resource functions within the property, ensuring smooth staffing operations, employee relations, and compliance with hospitality standards and labor laws. The role focuses on maintaining a motivated workforce to deliver excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle recruitment and onboarding of hotel staff (front office, housekeeping, F&B, etc.).
- Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
- Manage attendance, shifts, leave requests, and duty rosters coordination.
- Assist in payroll preparation and overtime calculations.
- Support employee relations and resolve workplace issues.
- Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws and hotel policies.
- Coordinate training programs for service standards and skill development.
- Assist in performance appraisals and disciplinary procedures.
- Support employee engagement activities and welfare programs.
- Manage onboarding and exit formalities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years of HR experience (hospitality experience preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HR systems and MS Office.
- Understanding of hotel operations is an advantage.
- Knowledge of UAE labor law preferred.
