Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented HR Operations Manager to lead core human resources functions and strengthen the employee experience across the organization. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that hiring, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, compliance and employee experience systems are clear, consistent, and effective across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain HR systems, documentation, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, policies, and best practices.
- Manage benefits administration, including health, retirement, PTO, and related programs.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring consistency and clarity.
- Manage the annual performance review process across the organization.
- Own the full hiring process, from job posting through offer and acceptance.
- Guide internal communication systems that keep staff informed, aligned, and connected to the direction of The FOCUS Group.
- Support leaders in implementing consistent performance management practices.
- Help identify areas for growth and development across the team.
- Assist in planning and executing team gatherings, retreats, and key moments that strengthen communication, cohesion, and trust across the organization.
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources, people operations, or HR roles.
- Proven ability to lead day-to-day HR operations across multiple functional areas.
- Strong background in hiring, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and performance management.
- Solid knowledge of employment laws, policies, and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to support managers and leadership with people processes and organizational needs.
- Track record of improving HR systems, workflows, and operational consistency.
- Experience working in a small to mid-sized organization or another environment requiring broad HR ownership.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
- Preferred background in employee communications, feedback processes, and team engagement initiatives.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
