HR Operations Specialist

Next Level Solutions is excited to be recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients in the industrial sector for an HR Operations Specialist. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented HR professional to make a big impact within a growing team.

Overview:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping core HR operations running smoothly. From maintaining accurate employee data and coordinating onboarding to supporting benefits and ensuring compliance, you’ll help create a seamless and positive experience for employees across the organization. You’ll partner with HR, payroll, IT, and benefits colleagues to make sure processes are well-managed, consistent, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update employee records within HRIS systems; perform audits and prepare reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes including system access, new hire documentation, and exit procedures.
  • Provide support for benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, and employee questions; assist with annual open enrollment communications and data accuracy.
  • Keep digital and physical employee files compliant and organized; monitor shared HR inboxes and route requests appropriately.
  • Track certifications, licenses, and required employee documents, following up with managers and staff as needed.
  • Act as a connector between HR, payroll, IT, and benefits to ensure smooth handling of employee changes.
  • Support broader HR projects and initiatives such as system upgrades, process improvements, and documentation updates.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2–4 years of experience in HR operations, coordination, or related administrative roles
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (ADP, Workday, Paycom, UKG, or similar)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • High level of discretion with confidential information

Preferred:

  • Experience working with employees across multiple sites or states
  • Exposure to payroll or benefits administration
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
