HR Payroll & Benefits Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving and building relationships with employees, and is committed to providing accurate, timely payroll support. This role requires prior experience with payroll processing and benefits administration and is not intended as an entry-level HR position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the processing of bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Support HR functions related to health benefit administration and 401(k) program management.
  • Assist with payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers.
  • Prepare and assist with government reporting and compliance-related filings.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Department to support audits, reconciliations, and special projects.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the HR Director and Assistant HR Director with HR responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience required.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Business or related field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with Paycom is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of government reporting (wage statements, compliance reporting) is a plus.
  • Experience administering health benefits and 401(k) plans.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint).
