Position Overview:
The HR Professional will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall HR framework, policies, and procedures for the institution. The role involves managing all aspects of HR, including manpower planning, recruitment, training and development, performance management, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and experience in driving HR processes within an educational or similar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of HR Framework, Policies, and Procedures:
- Design and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures aligned with institutional goals and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain an employee handbook covering all HR policies, benefits, and institutional guidelines.
- Manpower Analysis and Recruitment:
- Conduct manpower planning to ensure the institution is adequately staffed to meet its objectives.
- Lead recruitment efforts, including developing job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the onboarding process.
- Training and Development:
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and career growth.
- Identify training needs through performance appraisals, employee feedback, and industry trends.
- Performance Management and Appraisals:
- Design and manage a performance appraisal system to drive high performance.
- Oversee the process of setting goals, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and conducting annual performance reviews.
- Implement employee recognition programs to foster a culture of appreciation and motivation.
- Leaves Management:
- Develop and manage the leave management system, ensuring compliance with labor laws and institutional policies.
- Maintain accurate leave records and handle leave-related queries.
- Discipline and Code of Conduct:
- Establish and enforce a code of conduct for employees, ensuring a respectful and professional work environment.
- Manage disciplinary procedures, handle grievances, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Succession Planning:
- Develop and implement succession plans to ensure leadership continuity and mitigate risks.
- Identify high-potential employees and design career development paths to groom future leaders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in HR, preferably within the education sector.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and HR management systems.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
