Job Description – HR Recruiter (Engineering Focus)About John Galt International (JGI)

Position Overview

We are seeking an HR Recruiter with strong experience in engineering and technical hiring. The role involves sourcing, screening, and onboarding qualified engineers across design, fabrication, quality, procurement, and project execution functions to support JGI’s rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Recruitment
  • Partner with department heads (Design, QA/QC, Production, Projects, Procurement) to understand manpower needs.
  • Draft and post job descriptions across portals, LinkedIn, and industry networks.
  • Source candidates through Naukri, LinkedIn, Apna, Shine, Indeed, campus hiring, and engineering forums.
  • Screen resumes, conduct telephonic interviews, and shortlist candidates.
  • Coordinate technical rounds and HR discussions with functional heads.
  • Pipeline Development
  • Build a talent pool of engineers (mechanical, civil, metallurgical, QA/QC inspectors, project engineers, etc.) for ongoing and upcoming EPC projects.
  • Maintain vendor/consultant relations with manpower suppliers for contract roles.
  • Engage with engineering colleges for fresher recruitment and apprenticeship programs.
  • Recruitment Process Excellence
  • Maintain trackers for open positions, candidate status, and hiring cycle time.
  • Ensure proper documentation: interview feedback, offer letters, onboarding checklists.
  • Track KPIs: time-to-hire, offer-to-join ratio, cost-per-hire.
  • Support induction/orientation programs for new hires.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of engineering job roles (design, fabrication, welding, QA/QC, EPC project management).
  • Hands-on with job portals, Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and database management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to assess cultural fit and technical aptitude.
  • Process-driven, with attention to detail in documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Graduate / Post-Graduate in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in HR recruitment, with focus on technical/engineering roles.
  • Experience in EPC / heavy fabrication / manufacturing / oil & gas hiring is strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹9,663.51 - ₹30,879.21 per month
