POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Recruiting Specialist is an integral part of the Human Resources team tasked with managing specific human resource functions-primarily talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee records. They support organizational needs by identifying, attracting, and securing top talent recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff while ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee data, and facilitating employee relations to foster a productive workplace. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the recruitment process. From crafting compelling job postings to conducting thorough interviews, the Recruiting Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping the workforce and contributing to the organization's overall success. This role identifies, attracts, and hires top talent for an organization, managing the full recruitment lifecycle from job posting to onboarding and requires flexible scheduling based on the needs of the candidates. They leverage sourcing tools like LinkedIn, Discovered, Paylocity, or other recruiting software system to screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and advise hiring managers to ensure a diverse, efficient, and positive candidate experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, plan, and collaborate with other departments to conduct orientations, process new hire paperwork, facilitate training sessions, and onboarding processes.
- Maintain, update, and secure accurate employee personnel files, software applications. and databases with accurate HR documents and employee credentialing certificates.
- Ensuring all HR practices adhere to federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., EEO, FLSA, ESTA) and updating internal employee handbooks.
- Address employee inquiries, mediate conflicts, and support performance management.
- Develop, plan, and implement effective recruitment strategies.
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events. Create engaging job ads and source passive/active candidates via social media, databases, and job boards.
- Review resumes, conduct initial phone/video interviews, and assess/identify qualified, quality candidates for technical skills and cultural fit.

- Collaborate with other department leaders to understand their staffing needs,requirements, and HR support needs.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates.
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking system.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
- Partner with hiring managers to define requirements, provide feedback, and manage the interview process.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in human resources and recruitment.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Employee Engagement departments to organize, attend, and participate in employee engagement and community outreach events such as job fairs, school visits, employee events, and other activities.
- Track engagement metrics and gather employee feedback to improve workplace culture.
- Support branding and public-relations initiatives that strengthen the company's reputation in the region.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Displays a courteous and professional attitude.
- Acts as a point of contact for new candidates, employee concerns, mediating workplace disputes, and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Prepares and submits various reports as directed or requested.
- Handle background and motor vehicle record checks and assist with onboarding new hires.
- Represents the integrity, philosophy, and company values, including company policies and procedures, in a positive manner both internally and externally.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.

The employee is expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the company's privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal (and state) law, and in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health care provider. Failure to comply with the company's policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment or of membership or association with Patriot Ambulance Service.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma, Home School Equivalency, or General Education Diploma (GED). Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
- Credentials from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) are preferred.
- Prior experience in sales, recruiting, human resources, or other comparable industries.
- Must have strong operational knowledge of computers, software applications, and office apps.
- Strong social, creative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Strong public speaking skills are required.
- Strong time-management and communication skills.
- Background check must be clear of a felony conviction.
- Must possess exceptional skills in communication, conflict resolution, interpersonal intelligence, rational decision-making, and high ethical standards for handling confidential data.
