The Opportunity

SME Electromechanical is seeking a dedicated and organized HR & Recruitment Assistant to join our team. This is a vital support role ideal for a candidate with foundational HR experience who excels in administrative tasks, communication, and documentation. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our key HR and recruitment processes.

Key Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role is administrative support in HR and Recruitment, including:

  • Recruitment Support: Assisting with the end-to-end recruitment cycle, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates.
  • Employee Documentation: Preparing essential internal documents such as Job Offer Letters and formal memos.
  • Database Management: Maintaining and diligently updating the employee database, ensuring all personal and professional information is accurate (e.g., monitoring renewal dates).
  • Compliance & Monitoring:
  • Monitoring employee leaves, attendance, and general record-keeping.
  • Tracking employee records for contract renewal and visa processing to ensure timely action.
  • General HR Administration: Providing overall clerical and administrative support to the HR department.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, or an administrative support role. Experience gained in your home country is acknowledged and accepted.
  • UAE Labour Law: MANDATORY for candidates with local experience: Demonstrated basic knowledge and understanding of the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 (UAE Labour Law) is essential.
  • Scholastic Background: Must possess a good scholastic background (e.g., strong academic record/GPA).
  • Core Competencies: Must possess excellent problem-solving skills to efficiently handle administrative challenges and employee inquiries.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory for preparing professional documents and liaising with employees.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in essential office software and tools is required:
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Google Workspace (G Suite).
  • Microsoft Outlook.
