The HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures are implemented, monitored, and followed on the construction site. This role involves inspecting site conditions, enforcing safety regulations, conducting training, and supporting the development of a safety-first culture to minimize risks and prevent accidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor HSE plans, risk assessments, and site-specific safety procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Enforce the use of PPE and safety practices among all site personnel, subcontractors, and visitors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain all HSE documentation including incident reports, safety meeting minutes, training records, and inspection checklists.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure that first aid and fire safety equipment are in place and operational.
• Support the development of a positive HSE culture through awareness campaigns and training programs.
• Monitor compliance with local labor and environmental regulations, as well as client and company HSE policies.
• Liaise with client HSE representatives and attend safety meetings as required.
• Assist in preparing monthly and weekly HSE reports for management and clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, NEBOSH, NFPA).
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and risk management.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Physically fit and willing to spend extended time on active construction sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent safety certification.
• First Aid, Fire Safety, and Working at Height training certifications.
• Experience in high-risk construction environments (e.g., data centers, infrastructure, tunneling) is a plus.
• Knowledge of environmental management (ISO 14001) is an advantage.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
