HSE Engineer

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for ensuring operational health, safety, and environmental compliance across assigned sites and projects. This role provides technical expertise to implement HSE policies, monitor workplace safety, and mitigate risks. Collaborates with operations, engineering, and project teams to identify hazards, develop mitigation plans, and promote a proactive safety culture while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments for processes, equipment, and facilities, identifying hazards and implementing effective control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors to enhance safety awareness and competency.
  • Perform site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety procedures, environmental standards, and operational compliance.
  • Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including drills and response plan execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to integrate HSE considerations into process design, equipment, and operational procedures.
  • Monitor environmental performance, including emissions, waste management, and resource conservation initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance to teams on safe practices, hazard mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records to support compliance audits and management reviews.
  • Assist in contractor and vendor HSE oversight, ensuring external parties meet company safety standards.
  • Analyze HSE data and KPIs, preparing reports with actionable recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying technical gaps in safety systems and environmental processes.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science is mandatory.
  • 1-3 years of experience in HSE, including manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors.
