Qualifications & Experience:
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in construction industry.
- Knowledge of local HSE regulations and international best practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in incident investigation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with company and client requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Conduct HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety induction programs for new employees and contractors.
- Maintain records of safety audits, incident reports, and training sessions.
- Coordinate emergency response and evacuation drills.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the site and encourage proactive reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and government authorities on HSE-related matters.
- Support management in continuous improvement of the HSE management system.
