We are seeking a qualified and experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) professional to oversee and implement HSE systems across our landscaping projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with UAE regulations while promoting a strong safety culture on site.

Key Responsibilities

HSE Policy Development & Implementation

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with local and federal regulations
  • Regularly review and update HSE documentation to reflect legislative and regulatory changes

Risk Assessment & Safety Audits

  • Conduct regular site risk assessments and safety audits for landscaping and construction activities
  • Identify hazards, recommend control measures, and monitor corrective actions
  • Document and report audit findings to management

Training & Awareness

  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and subcontractors
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and emergency preparedness briefings

Incident Investigation & Reporting

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Prepare detailed investigation and compliance reports

Environmental Management

  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
  • Monitor waste management, disposal practices, and environmental controls
  • Promote sustainability and environmentally responsible work practices

Emergency Preparedness & Response

  • Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response plans
  • Conduct emergency drills and coordinate with local emergency services

Health & Well-being

  • Monitor occupational health risks and implement preventive measures
  • Promote employee health, safety, and wellness initiatives

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on HSE best practices, technologies, and legal requirements
  • Participate in HSE meetings, audits, and industry forums
  • Drive continuous improvement in HSE management systems

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • NEBOSH certification (mandatory)
  • IOSH or other relevant UAE-recognized certifications (highly desirable)

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience, preferably in landscaping or construction projects in the UAE

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and industry best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports
  • Proficiency in HSE management systems and reporting tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
