Key Responsibilities
- Risk Mitigation: Conduct Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Risk Assessment and Control Measures (HIRA) to prevent accidents.
- Site Inspections: Perform daily checks of equipment, safety gear, and work areas to ensure compliance with, for example, the standards listed by Scribd.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents, accidents, or "near-miss" events, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Training & Induction: Deliver safety inductions for new staff and provide regular training to employees on safe work practices.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, incidents, and audits for management or legal purposes.
- Stop Work Authority: Stop any work operations that pose an immediate, unsafe threat to life or health.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field; a Diploma is often acceptable with relevant experience.
- Certifications: Commonly requires certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or local safety council certifications.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of safety management systems, hazard control methods, and local labour laws.
- Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure.
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
