HSE Officer (QatarEnergy Approved Project)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join our project team in Qatar. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environmental practices in compliance with QatarEnergy (QE) standards, procedures, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and QatarEnergy requirements
• Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) system
• Monitor and enforce safe work practices on site
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare reports
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reports
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
• Coordinate with project team on HSE planning and compliance
• Promote a strong safety culture among workers

Minimum Requirements (As per QatarEnergy Standards):

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5–7 years of HSE experience, with at least 3 years in Oil & Gas / QatarEnergy projects
• Mandatory certifications:
• NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate)
• IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of:
• QatarEnergy HSE Standards & Procedures
• Permit to Work (PTW) System
• Risk Assessment (JSA / HAZID / HAZOP)
• Experience in incident investigation and reporting
• Familiar with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards
• Good communication and reporting skills

Additional Requirements:

• Experience working in Ras Laffan / Mesaieed Industrial Cities is preferred
• Ability to work in multinational and high-risk environments
• Strong leadership and observation skills
• Physically fit and able to work on-site conditions
• Valid Qatar Driving License (preferred)
• Immediate availability is an advantage
