About the Role

Our client, a leading semi-government company in Qatar, is seeking a highly motivated HSSE Promotor to strengthen its Health, Safety, Security, and Environment culture across operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with HSSE standards, while fostering a safe and secure work environment for all employees and stakeholders.

This role requires a proactive professional with deep knowledge of HSSE best practices, the ability to implement safety campaigns, and strong interpersonal skills to influence and encourage safe behaviors across diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote HSSE awareness and a culture of safety across the organization and contractor workforce.
• Monitor day-to-day HSSE compliance on sites, projects, and operational areas.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure alignment with company HSSE policies and local regulations.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSSE programs, training, and campaigns.
• Report unsafe acts, near misses, and incidents; support investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar’s regulatory requirements and company HSSE procedures.
• Support emergency preparedness drills, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a role model and encourage behavioral-based safety practices.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Mandatory:
• NEBOSH National or International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
• NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management (or willingness to obtain).
• Preferred/Additional:
• Certifications from recognized bodies such as IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
• Additional HSSE-related diplomas or training certifications will be an advantage.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in HSSE roles within oil & gas, construction, energy, or industrial sectors (Qatar/GCC experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of international HSSE standards, frameworks, and compliance practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels.
• Ability to conduct training sessions, safety inductions, and toolbox talks.
• Strong observation and reporting skills with attention to detail.
• Culturally sensitive, adaptable, and proactive in promoting HSSE values.
